New EasyWest system: solid, universal, ultra-light

Developed with the aim of offering an innovative, safe and up-to-date solution to all the most concrete needs of operators, EasyWest paves the way for the latest generation of East-West systems, providing planners and installers with many advantages.

Solid, universal, and ultra-light: the new EasyWest system is designed to combine all the advantages of East-West configurations with those of Sun Ballast photovoltaic ballasts in a single solution, and brings important innovations to the world of structures for flat-roof PV systems. Consisting simply of two ballasts and two brackets, EasyWest retains all the features that have made Sun Ballast concrete ballasts a real benchmark, offering all operators in the sector a solution that is not only simple and fast, but also extremely versatile, reliable and cost-effective.

Solid, manageable and convenient

Based on the lattice configuration of the Connect and Industrial-XL systems, the new EasyWest ballasts allow all modules to be tied together in a single lattice: two different panels are attached to each ballast, increasing the overall stability of the installation, maximising windtightness, and reducing assembly time and costs. The lattice structure also allows the weight of the structures to be kept to a minimum: with a load per square metre of less than 20 kg/sqm, EasyWest is in fact an extremely light and manageable system, capable not only of simplifying installation and handling, but also of optimising transport costs. Thanks to the double orientation and 10° inclination, the productivity of the PV systems is high and constant throughout the day, and the positioning of the modules in opposing rows makes it possible to optimise all available space on the roofs of buildings.

Special staples and compatibility with any type of PV module

The new EasyWest system is designed to be used with any type of panel, from standard modules to the latest generation of large M12 panels. Depending on the type of module used, the distance between the ballasts can in fact be freely modulated, ensuring a high tightness and respecting all the support parameters indicated on the panel data sheets. The fastening – which takes place on the long sides of the module – is carried out with special clamps specially developed for EasyWest: thanks to the special stainless steel toothing, the two “PowerClamps” ¬ – one for low ballasts, one for high ballasts – make it possible both to maximise the tightness of the clamps and to speed up any earthing operations (acting as an electrical bridge between the modules). Like all Sun Ballast systems, EasyWest also does not require any anchoring holes, already contains the fastening bushings inside the structures, and allows PV systems to be installed quickly and easily on any type of flat roof.
