A photovoltaic system was built on the flat roof of a school district thanks to the ballasts of the Sun Ballast systems.

For this type of surface, a large roof entirely covered with sheathing, our Connect system is the most suitable solution for achieving the customer’s production target while maintaining a low load on the roof.

The Connect system consists of three types of ballast: a front ballast, a central ballast and an end ballast that closes the rows of panels. The three ballasts, joined together by the panels, create a single chain of extremely solid concrete ballasts. This chain is wind resistant and presents a very limited load on the roof thanks to the fact that the weight is distributed evenly over the entire surface.

Furthermore, one of the main features of all our Sun Ballast systems is that there is no need to drill holes in the support surface to fix them in place. This allows the surface to remain unaltered: in this specific case the waterproofing of the sheath remains intact.

Our client TGE S.r.l. was able to create this beautiful photovoltaic system, capable of producing up to 125 kWp of renewable energy, thanks to all the features of the Sun Ballast structures and the help of our reliable and competent technical department.
